IRELAND: Premier Division

Shamrock - Derry City   BTS (both to score)   Ft 0-1

Shamrock Rovers did what was needed on Friday evening, when the team visited Finn Harps and managed to take rather easy 2:0 victory on the road. They were favorites ahead of the game and took the victory deservedly in the second halftime when their players increased the tempo, reaching the three pointer via goals from Boyd in 54th and Clarke in 80th minute. This was their second consecutive victory in the league, third in all competitions as the team also won over Athlone 5:0 in the Cup game in between of this match and their previous league victory over Wexford at home 3:1. With these two three pointers the team kept the touch with the leading sides, being fourth currently at the table, with just two points less than third placed Derry City and having played two matches less – so the team remains close to a must win situation in order to catch up further with the leaders. Shamrock has pretty decent home form in the Premier Division at the moment, with the team being undefeated in last seven matches, having 7-2-2 overall record for now. Left full back Luka Byrne (1/0) should be their only absentee for this game.Shamrock - Derry City

Derry City were favorites to take something more out of their previous match played away to Bray last weekend, but the team only managed to get a draw in a 2:2 game. Hosts took the lead first, in 17th minute via Connolly, while the players of Derry responded fifteen minutes later via Patterson. Same player took the penalty kick in 55th minute and was precise for a 2:1 lead, but Connolly scored the second one in 70th for the final result. It was obvious that the players of Derry were a bit more quality side in the first halftime, while the home team had more of ball possession and chances created towards the end of the match, but the third goal never came for them, while the guests were defending mostly with all eleven players. This draw saw the team increasing their undefeated streak to seven matches now (three victories and four draws), while the team continues to be third at the table, with just a point less than Cork, but with three matches more played. That means that a victory here is almost must for them, simply since Shamrock will remain also with two matches less played after this game. Central defender Aaron Barry (16/1) and midfielder/forward Gareth McGlynn (6/0) are both sidelined with injuries and should be their only absentees. Both teams are entering this match being in quite good form at the moment. Additionally, this game comes as a very important one for both sides, since it can influence a lot on their European battle and the rest of the season. I expect an open game from both sides and with quality of their offensive lines, chances for both teams scoring here are well over 50% in my eyes.

PERU: Primera Division - Liguilla

Alianza Atlético - Sport Huancayo   1   Ft 3-1

Good odds imo. Huancayo played in Copa Sudamericana two nights ago and got an ok result. Although the visitors are fighting for the national championship Copa Sudamericana is a priority for them. Three national team players (Ortiz, Cleque, Peña) left the team after the match to prepare for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.  Alianza Atlético are a decent home side. They usually suck in away games which means they are in the mid table. I see a possibility for an alternative squad traveling to the coast from Huancayo's part. It's hot in Sullana (or Bernal, whatever) and that gives the hosts even bigger advantage. I'm expecting a home win here.

ROMANIA: Liga 1

CS U. Craiova - FC Viitorul   over 2.5   Ft 2-1

I think these odds for over should be a little bit lower. The Romanian first division it may be an underish league, but not that underish and here we have two teams who are playing in a offensive way thanks to their managers. Both Multescu and Hagi are offensive minded coaches and their teams did some nice games in this start of the season, not all of course, but most of them.  CSU Craiova have scored at least two goals in their last 4 games. They have some good offensive players like Baluta, Nuno Rocha and Andrei Ivan. Their left-back Bogdan Vatajelu is a very offensive defender and he's going forward very often, but he doesn't defend so well. Also, their central defenders are slow and they can have problems when Viitorul will have some counters. Viitorul are a young team and they always are trying to play an open football, a possesion football because their coach wants this. He cares about the defense of course, but he wants his team to score goals more. They can make mistakes at the back, but sometimes they can be really dangerous going forward as they have some talented players like Razvan Marin, Gabi Iancu and Aurelian Chitu. The last two are back at this club after failed to prove their quality at higher level.

SPAIN: LaLiga

Las Palmas - Granada   1   Ft 5-1

Las Palmas showed good football on Monday as they beat Valencia (4:2). They scored four goals in an away match in Spanish top flight for the first time since 1987. New signings, Boateng and Livaja, performed very well. Striker Araujo had some minor issues and was doubtful for that Valencia game, he appeared on the pitch for the final minutes. Now there should be no problem for him, also left-back Helder Lopes and offensive midfielder Tana might be able to feature on Sunday. Good news is that important defender Lemos is now again available, after serving one-game ban against Valencia. Granada drew at home against Villarreal (1:1) last week, but they didn't play well. A couple of key players left the club in summer and many of those who were brought in are pretty young and inexperienced. In my opinion hosts should get a comfortable victory.

ITALIJA: Serie B

Verona - Latina   1   Ft 4-1

. Verona, fresh relegated from Serie A, have IMO the best chance to back in A: they have behind Club very solid and ambitious, strong roster and supporters ready to fill the stadium in order of 20.000 units. New coach is Pecchia that has solid experience but for the first time he will guided Serie B's team, moreover relegations have been painfull for some teams in the past (look for Catania) but IMO hosts counted over a lot of experienced players able to make difference: just to think to defenders Antonio Caracciolo and Fossati, strikers as Luppi as Ganz, overall confirmed players that are the real value added for this cathegory ( Bianchetti, Romulo, Greco, Viviani and Pazzini). Good the first official matches: 2 won both by 2-1 against Foggia e Crotone. Latina beat in Italy Cup Matera at the first round (1-0) before to be elimnated from Novara: after they struggled a lot to obtain permanence in the last season, they replaced coach counting on Vivarini, but roster missed IMO to be adeguately renforced. Confirmed in attack Acosty, Paponi, Boakye and Corvia, in the middle Olivera and Schiattarella both, in De Vitis, Di Matteo and to fill repart that has already Marchionni, Scaglia, Mariga and Moretti.  I don't share the choice to take Pinsoglio as first gk (he comes from relegation with Livorno and always discontinue) susch as the defense with Brosco, Dellafiore, Bruscagin and the new Pol Garcia.

MACEDONIA: First League

Pelister - Rabotnicki   1X   Ft 3-0

Why is Rabotnicki such a huge favourite here i cant understand really. At the moment Shkendija and Vardar are dominating this league and fight for the 3rd place will be between Pelister and Rabotnicki, Pelister just come back from 2nd league but they have new sponsors (fixers but they are still peacefull for now, and afraid of Pelister fans who are crazy and wont let such thing in their club). Pelister brought very good signings and now they are main candidate (for me) for the 3rd place, they have two good brazilians, in midfield some good experienced players, in defence they signed Kovachev who is real boss there, now before few weeks they signed Aleksandar (made comeback after 2 yearS) At the end Pelister is playing at home and stadium will be full so whenever they play at home vs whoever it is Pelister always go on points, they want win here, draw is not an option! Rabotnicki like usual, selling their players after Euro competition... this season Rabotnicki is zero compared to last year but still they very easy schedule so they are on the top, now when real games come vs Shkendija,Vardar, Pelister, Sileks they will show real face... no real forward in team and many many youngsters, they have only 4-5 experienced players all other are very unexperienced (but talented) players...

FRANCE: Ligue 1

Dijon - Lyon   2   Ft 4-2

Dijon comes from another 1:0 narrow loss, this time away to Lille last weekend. Their opponents were slightly better for the whole game, created more dangerous situations, while the visiting side failed to resists in last moments of the game conceding a goal in 87th minute via Sankhare. Overall, it was a deserved victory for Lille, but the players of Dijon were so close of getting their first point this season. Similar performance was seen in the first round when they suffered the same defeat, this time at home against Nantes, with the visitors getting what they wanted (scored a goal) in the second halftime and the players of Dijon were unable to respond. Maybe even more worrying than two defeats, is the fact that they didn’t do much positive things in attack and surely can go on like this. After two rounds played, they are between four teams which didn’t manage to get a point for now. Home side should be lined up in 4-4-2 formation with Tavares and Bahamboula as their forwards. Central midfielder Marvin Martin is still injured and will not be rushed into action ahead of the international break. Left back/midfielder Arnol Bouka Moutou could be back into action here, but for now remains doubtful. Midfielder Anthony Belmonte is also questionable ahead the game.

After quite powerless performance in the Super Cup game against PSG when Lyon suffered 4:1 defeat, the team reacted well at started the new season in a really good way – with two consecutive victories and quite determined and strong performances. After their 3:0 victory away to Nancy in the season opener, Lyon managed to get comfortable 2:0 home victory last weekend against Caen. Interesting is that both goals came from penalty spots taken by Lacazette who already has netted five goals (all three against Nancy as well), but the victory itself was more than deserved since the player from Lyon dominated the field from the first moment and looked simply a class above their opponents. Lyon is now first at standings together with PSG and Nice and in case of another victory, there’s no doubt that they would improve their atmosphere, but also bring some pressure on their biggest rivals. Lyon will continue in 4-3-3 formation with Cornet and Fekir on the wings and Lacazette as central striker. Offensive midfielder Rachid Ghezzal is only injury absentee for the visiting team as he still recovers from muscular injury. Full backs Christophe Jallet and Jeremy Morel have both returned to training session, but Maciej Rybus and Rafael seem to be working well for now at these positions. Lyon have scored at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 13 matches (Ligue 1). Dijon didn’t show anything impressive for now, as the team looked quite harmless in attack in first two rounds. Having that in mind, it will be really hard for them to get something against obviously well in-form Lyon. Lacazette is doing just fine for now, scoring five goals in only two league matches and he, himself is more dangerous than the whole home side.

SPAIN: LaLiga2

Getafe CF - CD Numancia    1   Ft 0-0

Spain La Liga 2 match between the teams on Getafe CF and CD Numancia. The home team is a better one for selection on winner. Getafe CF is the former La Liga team and they are one of the main favorites for that to win promotion for the next season in the Spanish elite football. The team start with draw 1:1 (goal on Pacheco) missing the victory since they led the match. Today is the first match at home for the new season and most likely the team to begining with victory. One player missing of the squad - van den Bergh CD Numancia is team with more problems for this second match for the new season - Pedraza and Medina are suspended, while Jairo and Del Moral injured. The team start poor the new season lost of Levante UD 0:1 at home. They lost for last the match versus Getafe CF 1:2 (2009). My call is home win.

EUROPE: Europa League - Qualification

Rosenborg - Austria Vienna   over 2.5   Ft 1-2

Rosenborg are doing great job to defend a title in Norway but from Champions league qualifications were eliminated by APOEL after convincing defeat in second leg away from home, tonight are welcoming Austria Vienna in Europa league qualifications final round and must try to recoup defeat from first game, they were defeated in Austria with one goal margin and although had much more chances in the end failed to at least avoid defeat, however narrow victory here leads them into Europa league group stage and they are for sure able to achieve that. In domestic league are at leading position with 12 points more than second placed Odd and i'm pretty sure that will win a title, in previous round most recently few days ago they got a draw against Brann away from home, hosts now must get back on winning track and celebrate in order to reach Europe, in last campaign they were playing in Europa league but failed to reach knockout stage, now are seeking for their placement there again and i'm sure that can achieve positive outcome in this match. Let's just add that goalkeepers Andre Hansen (14/0), Alexander Lund Hansen (0/0), forwards Andreas Helmersen (0/0), Mushaga Bakenga (2/3) and Yann-Erik de Lanlay (17/2) are all injured and won't be available for this game while forward Matthias Vilhjalmsson (20/5) is in doubt due to a minor injury. Austria Vienna on the other hand won their placement into Europa league qualifications after ending at third spot at the table in Austrian Bundesliga, they started from second round and eliminated Albanian Kukesi and Slovakia Trnava, after first leg in final round they are on good path to eliminate Rosenborg but this will be a really hard 90 minutes for them, they had a bit of luck to celebrate in their first duel but now must show even better performances to defend that lead, after that victory they achieved another one in league over Altach at home and seems to be in decent shape. Guests suffered two defeats in league before that last victory but they have quality to at least repeat last seasons results in domestic league. Visitors now have a chance to reach European competitions after three seasons, it won't be easy against strong side as Rosenborg is and must show some really incredible defensive skills to save their net, I doubt that will manage to do that and in my opinion they won't be able to avoid defeat in this game. Only midfielder Dominik Prokop (0/0) will miss this match due to an injury. Rosenborg are big favorites, they must go for a victory here in order to recoup negative result from first leg and reach Europa league while guests have positive result from first game but I doubt that will manage to defend it, I expect goals here, hosts are clear favorites but over 2.5 goals to be scored seems like even safer choice.

POLAND: Division 1

Podbeskidzie - Chojniczanka   BTS (both teams to score)   Ft 0-1

Podbeskidzie got relegated last term from Ekstraklasa, after spending several years in Polish top flight. Their main objective for this season is to win promotion. They started well, with 10 points in 4 games. Podbeskidzie have conceded just 1 goal so far, but that's misleading because their defence isn't so good, even in the recent match against Chrobry (2:0) they lallowed their opponents to create many goalscoring opportunities. Chojniczanka are one of the better teams in this league and they're playing offensive football. In total, there were 17 goals scored in their 4 league matches. In my opinion this could be an open game with a couple of goals. Both Podbeskidzie and Chojniczanka have offensive-minded coaches and I think that both sides will be aiming for a win.

EUROPE: Champions League - Qualification

Roma - Porto   1   Ft 0-3

Roma had great previous season in Italy and ended at third spot which brought them into qualifications for Chmpions league, they faced with Porton in first leg in Portugal and got a draw, 1:1 was final score and Roma had a bit of luck to avoid defeat since from 41st minute were playing with one man less on the pitch when Vermaelen ot his second yellow card, now in second leg in Italy all they need to do is save their net. Tonight I believe that we will watch a great match, hosts are favorites but Porto musn't be underestimated. They can reach Champions league group stage again, in last season they reached knockout stage but there were eliminated by Real Madrid, however now seems really confident, after that first draw they achieved convincing victory in opener over Udinese, they celebrated at home ground with convincing result and i'm sure that will achieve another victory here. Hosts have great team, they were most effective side in Italy in last campaign, here must be carefull and I doubt that will attack with all their forces, result from first macth is positive and here will rather wai for opponnets mistake. They didn't achieved some remarkable results in Europe although are for among strongest teams in Italy, here are facing with decent side but i'm sure that will achieve positive outcome and celebrate to confirm their placement in CL. Defenders Rudiger (0/0), Torosidis (0/0), Mario Rui (0/0) and midfielder Florenzi (0/0) will all stay out of action due to injuries while defender Vermaelen (1/0) is suspended due to a red card from first leg. Same as hosts Porto ended at third spot in their domestic league and here are seeking for placement into Champions league but it will be difficult to achieve positive result, they failed to celebrate in first leg at home despite whole second half were playing with one man more and I really doubt that will manage to celebrate in this game. Season in Portugal league started pretty good with two victories in first two rounds but at this moment i'm pretty sure that Porto will play in Europa league. Victory here in Italy will be extremely hard task, Roma is strong team and to defeat them Porto must show really amazing skills but I doubt in that. Guests didn't achieved some great results in past few season in Europe and it will be difficult to reach Champions league now, they are in decent shape and here will give their best to celebrate but in that case saving of their net will be a hard task. Midfielder Brahimi (0/0), forwards Depoitre (1/0) and last season top scorer Aboubakar (0/0) will all miss this match due to injuries. Roma have a great chance to reach Champions league once again, they are in good shape and victory in front of their crowd shouldn't be hard to achieve, guests are chasing rsult and they must attack which will give Roma chances for counter attacks, I expect open match with plenty of chances and Roma to win seems like a logical choice.

SWEDEN: Superettan

Halmstad - Varbergs   1   Ft 3-0

Halmstad want to return into Swedish top league, they are in decent shape but here are coming after narrow defeat in last round away from home against Dalkurd. They now awaiting Varbergs in 20th round and must give their best to achieve positive outcome and get back on winning tracks. Hosts were relegated from Swedish first league in last campaign and now are trying to find their return ticket, so far did a good job to achieve that and currently are at second spot with five points and one match less played than leaders Sirius, they are one of main candidates for promotion and current spot leads them directly into first league, in case of victory they would reduce difference between them and leaders on only two points and i'm pretty sure that can achieve positive result and 13th victory in this campaign. They are offensive minded side and so far showed quiet decent offensive skills while in defense were also decent, here are having big chances for victory and i'm sure that will earn all three points, in last two meetings with guests they achieved two victories and here will be seeking for another one. Varbergs meanwhile stands at 9th spot at the table but they are in terrible shape, in last three rounds they suffered four consecutive defeats, scored only two goals and conceded ten and I don't believe that will manage to avoid defeat in this game. In previous 19 rounds guests scored only 18 goals while conceded 23, they must try to improve their form and avoid dropping of their position, unless they don't show some improving easy could slip under the red line, at this moment are only seven points above relegation zone. Visitors were in good shape and even had series of five consecutive victories and series of 8 matches without defeat but now seems almost desperate and in this game against very strong side must show really amazing skills to avoid defeat which I doubt that will achieve. In last five duels with hosts they celebrated only once three years ago while suffered two defeats and got one draw and I don't see how can confront to Halmstad here away from home. Halmstad must win, they want promotion and if continue with performances like so far i'm sure that we will watch them into first league in the next season, here are favorites and everything except their victory would be a huge surprise.

ITALY: Serie A

Milan - Torino   over 2.5   Ft 3-2

Milan had far away from impressive previous season, since the team changed couple of coaches in the progress, but failed to find the winning formula this time. They ended up being seventh at the table and losing the European exit four points to relatively mediocre club Sassuolo, while the team also failed to impress in the finals of the Cup competition losing to Juventus in the last game of the season.After quite a disappointing year, many investments were announced, but the club is yet to see the biggest names of this transfer period. Having that in mind, we maybe see some good players coming to San Siro, but as for this game, the team and the coach will need to rely to a well known guys from the previous season. Till now they have only signed two South American defenders, Gomez and Vangionni, plus midfielder Sosa and young striker Lapadula who was the best scorer of Serie B last year.Milan should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Bonaventura, Niang and Bacca as forwards. Only injured player for the home team remains forward Gianluca Lapadula. Gustavo Gomez is expected to play, while new coach Vincenzo Montella seems keen on using quite attacking 4-3-3 formation.

Torino started previous season with big expectations and actually they did quite fine in the first part of the season, but then slipped down the table and never managed to get back into the race for European spots. In the end, they disappointed a bit finishing only at 12th position and it wasn’t enough to keep coach Ventura on the bench and Serbian expert Mihajlovic came instead of him.He was a coach of Milan during the previous season, so there should be no question marks in his head regarding the current opponent which must be a plus for a visiting side here. They brought quite a few players this Summer, including Rossettini and Ajeti, central defenders, but also midfielders Lukic, Tachtsidis, Gustafsson and strikers Falque, Ljajic and Boye.Visitors from Torino should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Ljajic, Falque and Belotti as forwards. They have sold couple of important players such as Glik, Peres and Jansson and they are likely to let important central defender Nikola Maksimovic as well, so the player surely won’t be playing tonight. They also miss midfielder Marco Benassi and right full back Davide Zappacosta due injuries.There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 9 of Torino’s last 10 games (Serie A).

Milan is having pretty much similar squad as in previous season, since the team didn’t get as much as expected money for now. Torino is under new chapter with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and will surely be looking to make a surprise here and attack as much as possible. That’s something that should open up the game and I surely don’t see less than three goals.

SWEDEN: Superettan

Sweden Superettan match between the teams on Angelholms FF and Trelleborgs FF.
Angelholms FF looking for a win today and the chances for home win or draw is a big option for me.
Trelleborgs FF is better on the table with 7 wins 7 draws and 5 loses for the season as performance but last rounds won only 2 of the last six so the hosts is with motivation here to win vital points.
Angelholms FF coming of game with draw and the chances for this clash is again good for taking on points - 1:1 with the team on Varnamo IFK ( goal on Rexhepi).
Trelleborgs FF won at home for last but away from home the team lost in 8 of the last 12 matches. They missing also one of the best attackers Jovanovic, also Motari, Hakansson.

ENGLAND: League One

Milton Keynes Dons lost their Championship status last year and now they are more than motivated to go back. Rochdale last season managed to finish 10th – five points away from the playoffs. Both teams did not start their season optimal and the home side is still winless 0-1-2 and MK Dons are 1-1-1. The match is very important especially for the home side. Two of the matches of Rochdale so far were with both teams to score and the same goes for MK Dons. Rochdale conceded goal in each of their matches and MK Dons scored in each of their so far. MK dons won the last three matches between them here and in the last five official matches between them they were three goals scored at least. I think to take the risk and go for over 2.5 goals.

ENGLAND: Premier League

Newcomers into Premier league Burnley started new season with defeat, in opener were outplayed by Swansea and now will host Liverpool in second round. Here are facing with strong team and I don't see how can confront to them, last time met with them two seasons ago and were defeated, in last four meetings actually suffered four defeats. Last season was great for hosts, they won a title in Championship and direct promotion into Premier league, now must try to stay in safe zone and avoid relegation. They were pretty good in friendly matches during summer break but on start failed to earn points, now will be only harder and I doubt that can avoid defeat. It's only start of the season but hosts must give their best to addopt to a stronger league as soon as possible and reach positions above relegation zone, later will be under bigger pressure and it will be much harder to achieve good results. In previous round they simple failed to confront to a decent Sqanse and now against Reds will be only harder. Forward Ashley Barnes (0/0) will miss this game due to an injury, midfielder David Jones (1/0) left the club while defender Jon Flanagan (0/0) is on load from Liverpool and he won't participate in this game.

Liverpool on the other side will miss European competitions in this season, they ended at 8th spot in Premier league and now i'm sure that will achieve better results. In the end of last campaign they were fully focused on Europa league but in finals were defeated by Sevilla and failed to win their spot in Champions league, however in season opener they managed to overcome Arsenal after great match, they were three goals in front at one point but in the end celebrated with only one goal margin, final score was 3:4 and guests showed really great performances, in attack especially, now are big favorites and I believe that will achieve victory and continue with earning of points in new season. The Reds are having good team, Jurgen Klopp arrived in club on start of second part of last season and he had enough time to impose his tactics, during summer they managed to achieve convincing victory over Barcelona but only one day later were Smashed by German Mainz, their main proble was consistency in previous campaign and must try to find it, despite that guests have quality, they can achieve good resutls and reach upper part of the table and their matches are always interesting, here I have no doubt that will celebrate and earn all three points. Goalkeeper Loris Karius (0/0), defenders Mamadou Sakho (0/0), Joe Gomez (0/0) and midfielder Oluwaseyi Ojo (0/0) will all stay out of action due to injuries while appearances of midfielder Lucas Leiva (0/0) and forward Sadio Mane (1/1) are in doubt.

Burnley have a reaslly strong side in front of them and must give their best to at least avoid defeat but Liverpool seems just to strong for them and it would be a surprise if guests don't achieve routine victory.

NETHERLANDS: Eerste Divisie

Volendam - Telstar   1   Ft 3-0

Third round of Hollands second division. Complete schedule tonight because on monday also a full program. Volendam – Telstar is a derby. During season preparation they play against each other, match ended in a 0-0 draw. This says nothing, Volendam had a very bad preparation.   Volendam have collect 4 points of 2 matches. First they played at home against Almere, 1-1 draw. This was fair result after watch the whole game. And last week they played a great away game against Eindhoven with the 0-1 as outcome. Very deserved win, Volendam create a lot of chances and in defensive they were really solid. Their defense line looks very good with Evers – Schilder – Schouten and Statie. Midfield also good with best player from the team Kwakman. Coach Molenaar have full squad for this game. Only long-term injuries Mertens and van Van Son are out, not important. Coach Molenaar change his first XI at one place, striker van Kippersluis instead off Steltenpool. Further they have experienced Tuyp as attacking midfielder/striker. Van Velzen is their left winger and Meulens their right winger. Van Velzen is a very dangerous winger, there is a chance he will left Volendam before transfermarket closed. Only leftback Statie, midfielder Visser and winger Meulens are new in the team. Other 8 players were also regulars last season, this means the team has known each others qualities. This also means the squad is a bit better then last season. Line-up: SC Telstar 1 point out of 2 matches. First they lost against Rkc Waalwijk. Coach Vonk said that Telstar deserved more in that game, I disagree with him. It is true that Telstar had one huge chance in first half, but further they create nothing and Rkc play better, in second half Rkc was also better side with more chances. Last week Telstar draw against Fortuna at home. Fortuna was better side with better chances, they scored in 90 minute the 0-1 but one minute after that keeper Ter Wielen from fortuna made a huge mistake. Telstar have a lot of injuries last weeks. Important defender and captain van Korpershoek is still out. Right back Beissel (regular last game) is now out, also regular van Huizen is out now. Midfielder Ajnane is still injuried. Good news for Telstar is the returning of defender Van Berkel and winger Serrarens in their first XI. Striker of Telstar is Philips. He played for Volendam last year, their he play 8 matches for Volendam because he was third choice. Telstar is weak team, weaker than last year. And coach Vonk also said about his players that some players are not in form. All in all, Volendam with much more quality, as team but also players of Volendam are better in almost each position then players of Telstar. And the home-advantage because Volendam have had great home-record last season. Last season Volendam has won this game with 3-0. Odds are a bit dropping since yesterday, but -0.75 @1.89 is still good value, I expect odds drop more before game starts

EUROPE: Europa League - Qualification

Astra - West Ham   over 2.5   Ft 1-1

Astra won the title in Romania in last season and they were playing in Champions league qualifications but in semi finals were eliminated by Danish Copenhagen after convincing defeat away from home, now have one last chance to stay in Europe but in last round of Europa league qualifications are having impossible task, they awaiting English side West Ham tonight and must show some really great skills to avoid defeat but I doubt in that. Hosts are coming to this game after first victory after five games, they celebrated over Poli Timisoara in Romanian league and earned first three points in new season, before that suffered two defeats and got one draw while in first official match achieved narrow victory over CFR Cluj in Super Cup finals but they aren't in good shape and it would be a great surprise for me if manage to avoid defeat. In last season they eliminated guests in Europa league qualifications semi finals, after a draw in England they achieved one goal margin victory at home ground but later were eliminated by AZ Alkmaar. All in all this season didn't started well for thosts, they must get back on the track and improve form to join title race in Romanai while European journey I believe that will be ended after this round. West Ham have really great team, they started new season with defeat, in opener failed to earn points against Chelsea away from home, before that in previous round of qualifications won their placement here after convincing victory at home over Slovenian Domzale, in first leg in Slovenia were defeated but in second round proved their quality and now I believe in their victory. Guests are favorites, they will be seeking revenge for elimination in last season and I'm sure that will celebrate. They were good in last season and 7th position in one of the strongest European leagues means something for sure, they managed to confront to a strongest teams there and now want to play in Europe, there is enough quality in their squad to achieve good results and victory here shouldn't be a hard task, they mustn't underestimate hosts and i'm sure that they won't, they are better side and I believe in their victory. Visitors must try to find consistency in their game, they aren't in best shape at this moment and after two defeats must go for a victory, their matches are mostly interesting and with plenty of goals, so I expect to be here. These two sides are meeting again, this time they aren't in some great form but guests are favorites and shouldn't have some bigger problems to take advantage here before rematch in England, I believe that we will watch and open match and my bet goes on over 2.5 goals to be scored.

CELTIC GLASGOW:  Gordon, Janko, Lustig, Touré, Tierney, Forrest, Brown, Rogic, Sinclair, Griffiths, Dembélé. HAPOEL BEER SHEVA:  Goresh, Bitton, Tzedek, Miguel Vitor, Turjman, Broun, Hoban, Ogu, Melikson, Barda, Nwakaeme. Hapoel Beer Sheva surprised all previews reaching last preliminar CL round before Gropus' phase: they eliminated Sheriff Tiraspol and overall Olympiacos, counting ober solid defense (they have kept clean sheets in the last 3 european matches).  Guests' coach Barak Bakhar, apart offensive lateral  Maor Melikson cannot count over great quality from middle zone to up, so he must paln carefull tattical organization, the same he will prepare for the away match in Glasgow, searching to limit damages.  Celtic are very muscular team moreover after the advent of Kolo Touré: host team, coached by Brendan Rodgers, has surely more experience than Hapoel in european scenes and that's should be one factor adding the factor ground cause Celtic have given always the best at home.

ENGLAND: League One

Peterborough - Millwall   over 2.5   Ft 5-1

Peterborough opened the season in a best possible way with two victories, one in Leaone One over Rochdale away from home 3:2 and one in Capital One Cup when the team welcomed Wimbledon and celebrated with the same score. However, they failed to build up on these two performances and suffered narrow 1:0 defeat away from home against Bradford last Saturday evening. Only goal was scored back in eleventh minute via Hiwula, while the home team tried to react and had some chances, however without a goal ever coming their way. Still, despite a defeat, they are not in a bad atmosphere now since it’s well known fact that Bradford is one of the strongest sides and that it’s a lot left to be played. Therefore, the team needs now to respond with much better performance and will surely be aiming to get all three points. Hosts have no fresh injury worries ahead of this one. They continue to miss defender Ryan Tafazolli due hamstring injury. Brad Inman and Lee Angol continue to be long-term absences, while Jack Baldwin comes back in contention.

Millwall’s winning mini run (a victory in a season opener and in Cup game) was also stopped last Saturday evening when the team visited Milton Keynes Dons and only had to get satisfied with a 2:2 draw. Having in mind how the game started, they could have claimed even all three points, since the team had the double lead already after twenty-seven minutes of play, thanks to goals from Craig and Worrall. On the other side, respond from hosts were strong as well, since they managed to level up the scoreline within next six minutes, via Agard twice. Even though the players of Millwall looked a bit better in the second half, result didn’t change anymore. Overall impression is that the team entered well in the new season, but mistakes in defense cost them a lot this time. Previous games were victories over Oldham at home 3:0 in the first round, plus an impressive 4:0 victory on the road against Barnet with a bit rotated squad in a Cup game. Millwall’s manager Neil Harris is sweating over fitness of his two midfielders, as Shane Ferguson has a bruised hip, while Shaun Williams went off in the first halftime due to a head knock. Both players are doubtful and will be given a late fitness test. Defender Shaun Hutchinson has recovered from a hamstring injury and could feature, while Shaun Cummings remains sidelined with knee injury. Both teams have started the season well and I would be surprised not to see goals here. After missing quite a number of chances in previous game, Peterborough should be back to scoring goals, while Millwall looks like an offensive power from the very first game of the season.

ENGLAND: Premier League

Chelsea - West Ham   BTS (both teams to score)   Ft 2-1

Chelsea with new manager Antonio Conte. Not many new signings, but N`Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi is quality. We all know Chelsea´s history; going from champions 14/15 & ending in 10th last year. Chelsea with 5-9-5 home last season. West ham ended in 7th last season. They were one of the most entertaining teams to watch, and managed to keep players like Payet & Lanzini this summer. Interesting signings in Feghouli & Ayew. West Ham won 2-1 vs Chelsea at home & 1-1 at Stamford Bridge last season. I mean, the odds you get for a away win here is crazy high imo (5.65). Okey, Chelsea may be the favorites, but I wont be shocked if the Hammers takes 1 point.

NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie

PSV - AZ Alkmaar   1   Ft 1-0

PSV Eindhoven took the victory in the first round of Eredivisie in a much more difficult way than what was expected, following 2:1 score. They were back in the scoreline in the first halftime, but showed up with much more determined performance in the repetition and found a way to get the three pointer thanks to goals from Propper in 51st minute and Pereiro ten minutes before the full time whistle. Their manager Cocu wasn’t that impressed with his team’s performance, saying that they did almost close to nothing correct in the first halftime, but then improved and gained control over the ball and game. The team is far away from done in the transfer window, but the goal remains the same for the new season – to win the Eredivisie again and do as much as possible in Europe. Obviously, they are not in the strongest form at the moment, but should be more than enough for defensively poor AZ this evening. Hosts should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Locadia, Jong and Pereiro as their forwards. Home side has no fresh injury or suspension worries. Gaston Pereiro after scoring the last time out, is hoping for a start here and should get it.

AZ Alkmaar didn’t have the best possible premiere last weekend, since the team comes only from a 2:2 draw at home againt Heerenveen. They were better at the start and took the lead in 33rd minute with a goal from Henriksen, but conceded the equalizer seven minutes later via Zeneli. Their defensive mistakes were simply too big and even though the team took the lead again, back in 52nd minute from a penalty kick taken by Weghorst, they once again stood leveled up, in 82nd minute even though they played with a man more in last twenty minutes of the game. Their manager was nowhere satisfied with the performance, saying that the team struggled on the field even with a player more and they didn’t know what to do with the ball in their feet. The team already started with official duties, as they played in third qualifying round for Europa League, excluding Greek side PAS Giannina and will be playing against Serbian side Vojvodina next Thursday evening for a place in the group stage. Visitors from Alkmaar will probably be lined up in 4-2-3-1 formation with Weghorst as number nine, plus Jahanbakhsh, Henriksen and Santos as offensive midfielders. Defensive Ben Rienstra and central defender Jop van der Linden continue to be out due injuries. Manager John van den Brom is likely to retain pretty much the same lineup as against Heerenveen last weekend. PSV Eindhoven have won their last 7 home matches against AZ Alkmaar. PSV Eindhoven have scored at least 3 goals in their last 4 matches against AZ Alkmaar. Current champions were pushed all the way in their opening game against Utrecht and will now surely go determined in order not to repeat the similar start. I expect them to control the ball from the start of the game and to be deadly in attack against defensively worrying visitors.

ENGLAND: Premier League

Bournemouth - Manchester United   2   Ft 1-3

Bournemouth will host Manchester United in the match of the first round of English Premier League. Manchester United have a big ambitions for this season. They signed Mourinho as a coach, while they also bought some great players like Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Bailly. For this game they cannot count on Pogba who is suspended, but all other mentioned are available for this game. They already started this season well beating Leicester in Community Shield with 2-1 and I think they could make a good result at the start of Premier League too. Bournemouth also made some good transfers this summer. They bought Ibe from Liverpool, then signed talented Cook from Leeds and Mousset from Le Havre get Ake on loan from Chelsea. On the other hand they sold Tomlin, Ritchie, Ephick, while Iturbe returned from loan. So now they have pretty much young team, with a good future, but IMO they could have troubles in matches against bigger teams like this. For this game Bournemouth will be without injured Stanislas , Mings and Cargill. While on the other hand Manchester United have suspended Pogba and Smalling and injured Borthwick-Jackson. Anyway quality is on Manchester United side here, while after we saw their performance in Community Shield last week we could expect a good season from them as they looked like a totally different team from the last season. So I think they will win here.

NORWAY: Tippeligaen

Bodo Glimt and Lillestrom both have similar results this season as just a single point is separating the teams after 19 games played. Both clubs are struggling this season and they stand close to the relegation zone so in the upcoming match they should play for goals trying to take all three points and improve the situation.
Another thing that is in common for both teams is that they are playing high scoring football. Bodo Glimt are scoring more than a goal per home game on average. They have scored twice in the latest match when visiting Molde, recently have recorded a 4-1 win against Start, 2-1 win against Odd that are the third best in defence. Still Bodo Glimt are also conceding often, they have allowed 3 goals in each of their latest two games played.
Lillestrom are even worse in defence with 34 goals allowed in 19 games. They have conceded 20 goals in nine matches on the road. Still they are solid in offense and have proved that in the latest game in the league when Lillestrom have scored three goals against league leader and the best defending team Rosenborg. In total Lillestrom have 30 goals this season.
Bodo Glimt and Lillestrom have met once this season and the game has ended with the score 1-1. Still offense has dominated in that match as teams had plenty of chances. They have combined 37 shots in that game. I expect teams to do better in converting their chances this time and a high scoring game is my prediction.

ENGLAND: Vanarama National League North

Kidderminster - Chorley   X2   Ft 0-0

Just a small bet here. Before the league started, I rated Chorley and Kidderminster quite closely. Kidderminster have seemed to have a huge re rate due to the thrashing against Curzon Ashton. I think it was down to Curzon being poor, rather than Kidderminster being good. Kidderminster then went on to lose to Brackley at home in midweek and looking at stats, they didnt play well. I have Chorley slightly better than Brackley so i'm happy to play the +0.5 here. Chorley also didnt play in midweek so will be fresh

NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie

Heerenveen - Utrecht   over 2.5  Ft 2-2

Heerenveen comes from quite a positive performance last weekend in the season opening game against AZ Alkmaar away from home when they managed to pull out a point in a 2:2 draw. They had a very good performance during all ninety minutes and didn’t allow their hosts to develop their own game, playing aggressively from the first minute. At the same time, team looked very dangerous with the ball and most important, very effective. They were twice behind in the scoreline, but both times found a way to level up the result, thanks to goals from Zeneli in 40th and Schaars in 82nd minute, despite playing with a man less in last twenty minutes of the game when defensive full back Huizing picked up his second yellow card within a few minutes only after entrance as a substitute in the second half. Coach Streppel was satisfied after the match, saying that his team fought hard and they didn’t give up at any point of the game. He won’t be able to count at midfielder Morten Thorsby and centre-forward Mitchell te Vrede, both without performing so far in the season. Offensive midfielder Sam Larsson is doubtful and will hardly be playing here. Full back Willem Huizing (1/0) is suspended following his red card in season premiere.

Utrecht, on the other side, didn’t manage to make a surprise in the first round, when the team suffered 1:2 defeat at home against PSV Eindhoven. However, it needs to be said that the team looked really well in the first halftime and took the lead in sixteenth minute with a goal from Haller, missing couple of really good chances to double up the lead. However, Dutch champions have improved in the second halftime and controlled the ball completely, equalizing the result in 51st minute with a goal from Propper, scoring the winning goal ten minutes before the full time whistle from a direct kick taken by Pereiro. Their coach was disappointed with the result, saying that he is satisfied with effort of his players, but adding that the team looked excellent in first halftime and missed chances to achieve a better result. Manager Erik ten Hag won’t be able to count at right full back Mark van der Maarel who stays out for the second game this night. Forward Nacer Barazite may return for this one, after missing the first match against PSV Eindhoven. SC Heerenveen have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 home matches against FC Utrecht. Heerenveen will have home advantage in this one, but the final outcome remains quite unpredictable, since Utrecht does remain a bit better team. However, they both missed great chance to get more positive result in the season opener against reputable clubs, aiming for point(s) here. Both teams should be playing in quite open and attacking way here, starting their match like this from the start. I believe the game will be even more open than the bookies suggest.

NORWAY: Tippeligaen

Viking - Rosenborg   2   Ft 0-2

Viking celebrated in previous round over 9th placed Songdal and ended streak of four games without victory, before that were smashed in friendly match against Arsenal, there conceded 8 goals and failed to score there but that result wasn't such a great surprise, before that suffered two defeats and got one draw in league and currently are at 7th position at the table. They are now welcoming title defenders Rosenborg in 19th round of Norwegian league and I really don't believe that will manage to avoid defeat. In last meeting against guests in April were outplayed and defeated with four goals in their net, now will be extremely hard to achieve different outcome and earn some points. In previous 18 rounds they scored 20 goals and conceded equal number. To avoid further dropping of their position they must improve their form and show much better performances, in last campaign only two points separated them from position which leads into Europa league qualifications but at this moment when team is in pretty bad shape it seems like a really hard to reach one of top three positions. In last 12 matches against Rosenborg they have negative record and celebrated only once in last campaign in friendly match while in competitive games celebrated last time in 2005, I really doubt that will manage to earn some points in this game. Rosenborg on the other side are doing great job to defend a title, they are at leading position with six points more than second placed Odd and one match less played, in case of victory they would increase that difference and i'm sure that will manage to achieve victory, in Europe they disappointed and after reaching semi finals of Champions league qualifications were eliminated by APOEL from Cyprus, they achieve one goal margin victory at home ground but in rematch suffered convincing defeat and now are focused only on league and will give their best to defend a title. In last round celebrated against Lillestrom away from home, there conceded four goals but scored one goal more and earned all three points, deservedly, here are coming for another three points and i'm convinced that will achieve victory which will secure their spot at the top of the table. In last 28 matches they suffered only two defeats and both were in Champions league qualifications, at this moment are one of the strongest teams in Norway and if continue in the same manner i'm sure that will defend a title. Visitors are also on top of scoring charts with 41 goal scored while only 13 goals conceded makes their defense best in league, I have no doubt that will achieve another victory in this game. Viking seems not so good and here are playing against really great opponents, it seems almost impossible to avoid defeat and guests are absolute favorites, after elimination from Europe they will have their focus only on league and victory here don't seems like some hard task, everything except home victory here would be a great surprise and odds are decent for pretty safe bet option.

GERMANY: Regionalliga North

TSV Havelse - VfB Lübeck   1   Ft 0-2

Lübeck with big problems tomorrow. They will miss for sure seven players: Gromig (2/0) [new signed] , Richter (0/0) [29/7 last season] , Büyükdemir (1/0) [14/2 last season] , Gebissa (1/0) [new signed] , Ebot-Etchi (0/0) [new signed] , Bohnsack (1/0) [24/1 last season] , Meyer (1/0) [24/2 last season] . Havelse should win this, they are the better team anyway. Lübeck had a good start but they played against new promoted team and draw with a mid table team. Tomorrow they will face a Top5 team in my opinion, should be too strong especially with these missings.

SERBIA: Super Liga

Home team enormous problems with squad,with finances,and moral in club is probably lower in JSL. Stefan Vukmirovic ,playmaker is resigned contact,and he is looking for new club.Fresh news. Also, Croatian defender Mario Maslac should leave club also today or tomorow. Aleksandar Tanasin is suspended due red card in last match. Igor Savic,Milorad Balabanovic,Zoran Kostic,Srdjan Vujaklija are also on doubtfull list for this match,and most likely 3/4 of them will not help to Borac. Guests total contrast,fantastic start,and Radnicki looks very serious ,their coach is most talented in divison. Last season Radnicki and Borac played suspicus game,then i am going with only medium stakes

WORLD: Club Friendly

SK Zápy – FK Slavoj Vyšehrad   1   Ft 3-0

Zápy finished in league 3 (CFL) last year in the 2nd place immediately after Jirny. Jirny gave up promotion in league 2 , Zápy wanted to promote but they didn’t receive a permit. Their pitch doesn’t have a right measurement, the club planned to play macthes in nearby Xaverov. The football union didn’t allow this. The ones who promoted into league 2 was the 3rd Žižkov. Today’s match is taken by Zápy quite seriously. It’s a general match for the 1st round in the league with Tachov on Sunday. The pitch was adapted and tidied, everything is ready. This year the club wants to fight for a promotion again. Vyšehrad is really opposite. The club with the worst results have moved down from league 2, players have left and the club even dropped out of Czech Cup after a loss with Klatovy (league 4). The club might not finish the competition and quit during it as it happened to Union Nový Bydžov last year. There are playing lots of players from B-team for A-team (playing 1.A.class Prague). B-team is rather weak, they are loosing even in friendly matches.

ENGLAND: EFL Cup

Peterborough - AFC Wimbledon   over 2.5   Ft 3-2

Peterborough managed to get a victory in the first round of League One, with a bit of luck last Saturday evening, as the team took it with a 3:2 result on the road against Rochdale. They managed to get the victory even though the hosts had the lead twice inside first halftime, but the players of Peterborough reacted well both times, leveling up the score thanks to goals from Maddison in 21st and Forrester in 37th minute. Just when everyone thought the game will end up as a 2:2 draw, visitors managed to snatch all three points in 89th minute via Edwards who entered the game at the start of repetition. Their coach McCann was very happy that the team started with a victory, adding that he is especially happy that the side have scored via three different players, as many of fans thought they will be having problems scoring, showing great fighting spirit after being twice down in the scoreline. Right full back Michael Smith didn’t play in the first round and remains doubtful for this one. Similar situation is with defender Ryan Tafazolli who entered as a substitute in the first round. Midfielder Bradden Inman remains long term absentee.

Wimbledon didn’t start the new season in a good way, as the team comes from a 3:1 defeat on the road against Walsall last Saturday evening. They were completely outplayed this time and deserved defeat, not showing many positive things during the game. Their opponents took the lead already in seventh minute via Oztumer, adding the second one towards the end of the first halftime via Jackson. Players of Wimbledon tried to react in the second halftime, without much of success, as they only conceded the third goal in 72nd second when Jackson scored his second, while the visitors only managed to reduce the deficit towards the end of the game with a goal from Taylor from the penalty spot. Despite defeat, coach had some positive thoughts about the game, saying that in case the team continues to play in the same offensive way, they will not have a problem. However, at the same time he said that in case they defend like they did, they will have huge problems. Full back George Francomb (1/0) will hardly be playing today, after he returned to training sessions from injury, but the game comes probably too early for him. Open game is what I expect from this game. Peterborough always play like this at home, while the players of Wimbledon will surely try to react here and bring a more positive result this time, but at the same time still remain with obvious defensive problems for now.

GERMANY: 2. Bundesliga

Stuttgart - St.Pauli   1   Ft 2-1

Stuttgart will start as main candidate to promotion togheter Hannover that yesterday won large in away against Kaiserslautern (3-0). Supporters have given strong signals to home club (25.000 subscritions) and home team received money contributes from new sponsors. The plan to back immediately in Bundesliga carried a real specialist in promotions as Luhukay that already obtained that leading Borussia Mönchengladbach, Augsburg and Hertha Berlin.  Stuttgart left many players (Dié, Insua, Kostic, Harnik, Schwaab, Niedermeier, Tyton, Rupp and overall the "star" Didavi gone to Wolfsburg, whiòe they confirmed the players adapt to this cathegory as Gentner, Maxim and Großkreutz with new comers Terodde in attack (25 goals with Bochum in the past season), Marcin Kaminski, Anto Grgic and Hajime Hosogai.    In the first day St.Pauli will travel to face Stuttgart: St.Pauli have been nice surprised team in the past season going over aspectatives and closing at the 4th place. Situation seem anyway changed for the new season cause they changed a lot players and overall the best 2 players Marc Rzatkowski and Lennart Thy. I wait guest team to struggle in the first days before to find right balancement.

SWITZERLAND: Super League

Luzern - Basel   2   Ft 2-3

Luzern will host Basel in round 3 of the Swiss Super League. It will be an interesting match but my favorite is definitely Basel. Both teams have 6 points after two rounds as Basel won over Sion 3:0 at home and Vaduz 1:5 away. Luzern won over Lugano away with 1:2 and Grasshoppers at home by 4:3 in a game with lots of turnarounds. Luzern also played the Europe league matches and unfortunately got eliminated by Sassuolo. That was on thursday and Luzern took a bitter 3:0 loss. Now 3 days latter, on an early time, will host the resurging Basel.  Basel was pretty awfull in the preparation period and lost to any team imaginable but things have changed since the league started. They turned the corner and again look like the confident and exciting team they are. Strikers Janko and the new acquisiton Doumbia already showed good form scoring in recent matches while midfielder Delgado already put in 3 goals for the team. Basel will again be the team to beat and they have something to remember Luzern by. Luzern beat Basel by 4:0 just 3 months ago but Basel was already the champion. That result is surely not forgoten and Basel will be up for the fight. Luzern has a run of 5 matches unbeaten at home and the last team they lost to was Young Boys. Basel is not by chance a big favorite in this match as they won in 4 of the last 5 visits here. Basel also won 10 of the last 14 Super League away matches. Luzern will be without the injured Puljic while Basel is without Akanji and Sporar. Basel to come on top in this one.

SERBIA: Super Liga

Partizan - Vojvodina   1   Ft 1-3

Shity start of the season for Partizan, kicked in El, draw and a lose in league games. Finally a home game and a new old coach Nikolic, he did amazing stuff with Partizan in his previous engagement but because Partizan is always run by some politically involved people like now, club suffers. It is not a new situation it is like that in last 15 years. I really  count on players in this game, i hope they love the club and they are mentally above this things, this internal tearing of the club, some one or something is suffocating the club in last years, and now it is becoming obvious.  Vosa did amazing thing in EL beating much more famous team Dinamo Minsk, now they are up against AZ and Imo they are having a really good chance going trough in EL group phase i really wish them all the best. They came for sure tiered from that game, and some players need to be rested, so Lalatovic will rotate, but there is a fact that he is the coach who once lead Zvezda also, and he will always do anything to beat Partizan, so maybe we can count on that rotations. Non the less quality is on Partizna side, maybe not like in past seasons but enough to beat Vosa with handicap, this is the derby of this round, and this is a must win game for them. Like one big fan of Partizan once said."Tomorrow is Sunday, and we dont have another club to cheer for". Good luck.

NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie

Utrecht - PSV 2   Ft 1-2

Utrecht made their best season in recent years and was very competitive during the last season, but they lost European exit to the last game of the regular season (1-3 from AZ Alkmaar) and to the final of the Play offs from Heracles. To the Dutch Cup they reached the final where they lost 2:1 against Feyenoord. After this successful season, they kept in place coach Erik ten Hag and now they want something to prove that last season was not an accident and that his team has managed to climb a level.

They lost key defender Timo Letschert (34 games, 3 goals) and main striker Ruud Boymans (19 games, 10 goals), who signed for Sassuolo and Al-Shabab, while so far the only significant addition is the 24 year old Danish goalkeeper David Jensen who came from Nordsjaelland. Generally except those two players who left, they kept the main core of the squad.

To the preparation friendlies, Utrecht had a very mediocre image. To the three most recent games they lost against Lierse (1-2), drew against Bnei Yehuda (1-1) and lost against Union Berlin (0-3). For sure it will be difficult to repeat the last season, but they are one of the favorites for the participation in the playoffs, where they will have the opportunity to claim European exit. For today’s game they will miss right back Mark van der Maarel (36 games, 1 goal), while keeper Robbin Ruiter (29 games) is in doubt to participate cause he lost the preparation due to injury. Striker Nacer Barazite (32 games, 4 goals) is not yet ready after his long term injury.

PSV gave the first official match of the new season last Sunday and won the title of the Super Cup with 1-0 over Feyenoord. They had the possesion in the first half with Andres Guardado to score with a free kick just to the fifth minute of the game. In the repeat Feyenoord tried to come forward, lost a double big chance, but then PSV just held the lead comfortable.

This season the Champions seem to have a slight edge, having also a strong core to their squad. The changes till now were only a few. PSV had a very good and long season preparation with many friendlies played. Most important were the wins over St Etienne 2:1, Sporting Lisbon 5:0 and Porto 3:0. Anyway, for today’s game Mexican defender Hector Moreno (29 games, 4 goals), who lost the final of the Super Cup, is now available, while left back Jetro Willems (15 games, 2 goals) is fit after injury and available too.

PSV has not changed at all so far and to the Super Cup they showed that they are to a fairly good condition. Utrecht is maybe strong at home but they seemed numb to the most recent friendlies. I think that the odds are very good for PSV Win and I will try this.

Rio Ave will face at home Slavia in the first leg it was 0-0 so we can say that Rio Ave goes as favorites to win this game or at least to qualify to the next round.Rio Ave has lost at home against big teams like Porto and Benfica but I cant see them lossing this game.Rio has acquired 6 strikers they want to be more prolific on scoring.Rio its a tough team at home it will be hard for Slavia to break them.Slavia has lost on the road to Levadia 1-3 Levadia is weaker team than Rio Ave plus this year its clear that Portugal football enjoy a great moment on the other way Czech football is going down year by year,they have Sparta eliminated,Plzen has qualified with luck,only Liberec and Slavia but Slavia has a difficult game here probably they will try to defend and to counte attack but Rio Ave is way better team so I take Rio to win.

Champions League Qual

Celtic - Astana   1   Ft 2-1

Celtic will be playing against Astana for a place in the next round of the Champions League. The first match in Astana finished 1-1 with Celtic scoring first in the first half and Astana scoring in the second half to tie the game. Astana surprised a lot of people by making the group stages of the champions league last season but playing against celtic in Scotland will be a lot harder especially since they're gonna need to score at least once if they have to have a shot of going through.In the last qualifying round Astana eliminated Zalgiris of Lithuania by beating them 2-1 at home and getting a goalless draw in Zalgiris. Astana is your typical team that has a good defence esp at home but that it struggles to score goals. So playing away from home should be a tough challange for them especially against a much stronger team.On the other hand Celtic come into this match after getting a much valuable away goal in Astana and knowing that the guests will need to push forward as they need to score at least once which might make them vulnerable at the back. Also Celtic was very impressive against Lincoln Red Imps in the last round where they easily killed the tie by taking a 3-0 lead at the end of the first half.My pick for this game is Celtic to win easily against a team that doesn't do well when it is chasing goals as Astana will be in Scotland. On the other hand Celtic are a very strong team especially at home and that away goal should give all the confidence they need to see this tie through
